Becoming a Part of the Community

Becoming a member is easy!  Visit us, chat with us, join groups, make friends--and when you feel that FUSW has or could become your spiritual home, and you want to become part of the community in a more meaningful way, you are ready to become a member of FUSW.

Once you are ready, tell our minister or a member of the FUSW Board of Directors, or Membership Committee and they will guide you through the simple process of becoming a member.

The responsibilities of membership are that you become involved in the Society in some way that is meaningful for you and that you support the Society as you are able with a recordable annual financial commitment.

We suggest that you find a small group here that feeds your soul and that you also join in the work of a committee (many hands make light work). The Membership Committee will be glad to help you identify the group and the committee best suited to your interests and talents.

One way to get involved after you've joined the Society would be to serve as a member of the Greeting Team for a 3- to 4-month period. New members will work alongside experienced greeters during their integration period at least one service on one Sunday, each month. By bringing their perspectives as newcomers, new members provide a service that offers mentorship to those even newer to FUSW. We also hope that in the process of helping visitors find their way into our community, new members will have the opportunity to explore and discover the many opportunities for personal growth at the Society.
